No More Free Ride: Trump Defunds Harvard Over Elitism, DEI, and Campus Riots

President Trump has started a battle against Harvard, and it seems that Universities, with public funding, are trying to avoid being targeted. But instead of removing DEI from their programs, they’re masking them.

Harvard has long boasted having the largest endowment in the world and the oldest perpetual investments in the United States. Their endowment is a whopping $53.2 billion, and the federal funding they receive is a remarkable $9 billion more.

Out of these federal funds, $2 billion goes to research grants directly for Harvard, while their affiliate hospitals receive the rest. Unfortunately for the prestigious institution, these $2 billion grants are slipping right through their fingers.

Harvard and other universities use these federal funds (derived from your hard-earned tax money) to upkeep their institution and their services. But these universities do not limit themselves to educational purposes only, they seek to secure their influence over Americans.

It is nothing new that elite schools have built enough influence to groom the nation’s next leaders with their ideology—which does not always align with American values.

These outrageous ideas are allowing pro-Palestine riots on campus, encouraging activists to vandalize property, and insistent adherence to promoting nonsense Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs.

More than 3,600 protesters have been arrested by police, with deportations underway to keep untrustworthy individuals away from the US. Such is the case of Mahmoud Khalil, a protester who was studying in Columbia but apparently showed a pro-jihad stance.

He has since been stripped of his green card and deported. These protests seem to be spurred by the DEI narrative, in which everyone believes to have the right to do whatever they want.

DEI programs promise fairness and equal opportunity, but it’s clear that they do not deliver. Perfectly capable college applicants feel they need to jump through hoops and play the disadvantage card to be seen by admission officers, who are only interested in checking off carefully curated student demographic boxes.

Elite schools and Liberals are turning a blind eye to how federally funded DEI programs breed prejudice and hostility by undermining meritocracy. In doing so, they’re losing support: university polls show Gen Z students are increasingly siding with the conservative party.

Trump retaliates by clamping down hard on Harvard

It is outrageous that Americans' taxes are being used to fund these initiatives that do not benefit the nation at all. Thankfully, the Trump administration has had enough with Harvard as well. The White House has chosen to freeze $2 billion from federal funds to halt Harvard’s breeding group for hooliganism.

It’s hitting them where it hurts and showing a clear message: that American funds shouldn’t be used to support Harvard’s insistent commitment to elitism, discrimination, and impeding freedom of speech.

Harvard and other universities are responding to Trump’s wake-up call. Just not in the way you’d expect!

By reeling back on funds, Harvard and other elite universities can no longer access the gratuity they’ve enjoyed for far too long unless they make a change. Whilst some institutions like Columbia are seeing sense and following Trump’s recommendations to improve campus security and scrap DEI off their webpages and offices, others, like Harvard, are doubling down.

Instead of dismantling the discriminatory DEI programs, Harvard is renaming them (unbelievable). On Monday, April 28, Harvard University’s “Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging” was changed to “Community and Campus Life.” But don’t be fooled (even if they’re doing it with your money). The rebranding comes with no concrete policy changes to follow The White House’s plan to make American education great again.

Next to this rebranding tactic, Harvard is pulling another scandalous stunt. The institution announced it would provide free tuition for students whose families earn less than $200,000 annually. But Harvard's initiative is not a charitable gesture.

In fact, it is a maneuver that aims to maintain its power of influence over America. What’s more, on Monday, April 21, Harvard announced a lawsuit against the Trump administration after it brushed off demands from the White House and saw their $2 billion federal funding crumble. Harvard’s provocative schemes hope to continue funding their self-preservation at the cost of American taxpayers' pockets.

Americans can’t allow terror in their homeland, and less so if it’s in universities they’re funding. If one thing is clear, it is that Harvard is stirring up doubts (on whether it actually helps Americans or not.)
