Donald Trump has picked former Attorney General of Florida, Pam Bondi as Attorney General of the Department of Justice, Trump confirmed on Truth Social.
This news comes after former-Rep. Matt Gaetz withdrew his name for consideration only hours ago. Trump wrote on Truth Social, "I am proud to announce the former attorney General of the Great State of Florida, Pam Bondi, as our next Attorney General of the United States." He went on to say, "She is tough and smart, and is an American First Fighter."

Pam Bondi was a prosecutor for 20-years, fighting crime and promoting safe streets in the state of Florida. She then went on to serve as the first female Attorney General of Florida, and under the Trump administration was special advisor to President Trump defending him at his impeachment trial.
The reaction from the mainstream media is full-blown panic. MSNBC reacted to the news live, and a guest broke down, saying, "We should all fear [her] because she's competent. We may not agree with her ideologically, but she actually knows how to do this job."
He went on to add that he thought Bondi was even worse than Gaetz, "She is a dangerous and effective pick, and that's frankly worse than what we would have got with Matt Gaetz."
